St. Wenceslas Gala Concert — Sbor českých bratří, Mladá Boleslav

The North Bohemian Philharmonic Teplice presents a St. Wenceslas gala concert featuring three works: "My Homeland", "Czech Song" and the Brandenburg Concerto.

The soloists of the evening are flutists Giuseppe Nota (Italy) and Miroslav Matějka, and violinist Markéta Janoušková. The orchestra is conducted by conductor Gudni Emilsson (Germany).

About the venue: Sbor českých bratří

The Sbor českých bratří is a Renaissance pseudo-basilica built between 1544 and 1554 by Italian architect Matteo Borgorelli for the local Bohemian Brethren congregation. It ranks among the oldest buildings of this type outside Italy and reflects the era when Mladá Boleslav was a centre of the Brethren's Reformation. Today the building serves as an exhibition and concert hall with exceptional acoustics; it closes during the winter months for climate reasons.
