Ostrava in Flames 2026
The twelfth edition of the Ostrava in Flames metal festival features SOULFLY, KORPIKLAANI, BLOODBOUND, and other international metal acts in the iconic Dolní Vítkovice industrial area.
Dolní Vítkovice is a revitalized industrial complex of the Vítkovice ironworks, founded in 1828 by Archbishop Rudolf Jan. The cluster of the Hlubina colliery, a coking plant and blast furnaces - nicknamed the "Ostrava Hradčany" - became a national cultural monument in 2002 and in 2008 was the first Czech site to be listed as European Cultural Heritage. Today the grounds house an educational and cultural centre featuring the Gong multifunctional hall inside a converted gas tank, the Bolt Tower observation point at 77 m, and the interactive Big and Small World of Technology exhibitions. The Colours of Ostrava music festival takes place here every year.
