About the venue

The Městské kulturní centrum Poděbrady (Municipal Cultural Centre) is based in the first courtyard of Poděbrady Castle on Jiřího náměstí. It runs the Na Kovárně theatre and the castle cinema (Zámecký biograf, 70 seats), organises concerts and social events, and publishes the local Poděbradské noviny newspaper. Since 2023 it operates as a municipal contributory organisation.
