On Friday and Saturday, August 14-15, the statue of King George will be ceremonially illuminated from 20:30 to 05:00.

On Saturday, August 15, from 21:00 to 22:00, the string quartet FASHION STRINGS will perform.

About the venue: Poděbrady

The Městské kulturní centrum Poděbrady (Municipal Cultural Centre) is based in the first courtyard of Poděbrady Castle on Jiřího náměstí. It runs the Na Kovárně theatre and the castle cinema (Zámecký biograf, 70 seats), organises concerts and social events, and publishes the local Poděbradské noviny newspaper. Since 2023 it operates as a municipal contributory organisation.
