The pilgrimage church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Štípa is a major Marian shrine in eastern Moravia, about 10 km from Zlín. The single-nave Baroque church was consecrated in 1765 and, together with the adjacent monastery, forms one of the largest ecclesiastical complexes in the Archdiocese of Olomouc. The main altar houses the venerated statue of the Štípa Madonna, one of the oldest Marian sculptures in Moravia. The main pilgrimage takes place annually around the feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary on 8 September.
