G. F. Handel: Saul (HWV53) - Selections from the Oratorio

The closing concert of the Summer School of Baroque Music takes place on Sunday, 9 August 2026 at the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Štípa, a pilgrimage site on eastern Moravia about 10 km from Zlín. The programme features selections from Handel's oratorio Saul (HWV53) performed by competition winners and instructors of the school under conductor Roman Válek. The Baroque church, consecrated in 1765, together with its adjoining monastery forms one of the region's largest ecclesiastical complexes. This concert is part of a series of five Czech performances led by Válek in August and September across various venues in eastern Moravia and Brno.
