About the venue

Galerie Garáž (GAG) opened in October 2012 - Vojtěch Skácel, Helena Ťapajnová and Filip Kartousek set it up literally inside a garage in Zlín's Burešov district. Rather than a conventional exhibition space, it functions as an artistic project built around one-off events called ČINy - vernissages combined with performance, happening or video art. GAG is the only independent gallery in Zlín and also produces posters and mini-catalogues. It opens by arrangement or during events.
