The South Bohemian Museum in České Budějovice is one of the most important regional museums in the Czech Republic. Founded in 1877, it is housed in a representative Neo-Renaissance building dating from the turn of the 20th century. Its extensive collections cover natural history, historical artefacts and fine art related to the South Bohemian region. The museum hosts both permanent exhibitions and temporary shows.
