About the venue

Music club K2 sits on Sokolský ostrov, an island ringed on two sides by the Vltava river - right in the centre of České Budějovice, yet surrounded by parkland and sports facilities. The club has been running since the 1990s and is one of the longest-established in the city. During the week it draws a largely student crowd; weekends bring concerts, DJ nights and themed parties across a wide range of genres. Every summer the club runs a series of open-air Wednesday concerts in front of the building.
