About the venue
Balzám Café is a music bar set in the basement of the Sladovna building - the largest children's gallery in the Czech Republic - on the bank of the Otava river. Lukáš Zahradník and Sára Dudáková opened it in 2018 to fill a gap left when Písek's last small independent venues closed. The indoor space holds around fifty people; in summer, concerts and events move outside to the riverside steps with a view of the oldest stone bridge in Central Europe.
