The Prague Film Orchestra will perform at the Kladno House of Culture with a film music programme conducted by maestro Jan Kučera. Dozens of musicians will take the stage.

You will hear music from films and series such as Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean - compositions by John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore, James Horner and others.

About the venue: House of Culture

Dům kultury Poldi Kladno has stood on náměstí Sítná since 1973, when it opened as the trade-union cultural house ROH SONP. Architect Václav Hilský designed the building, which originally featured a large ballroom with a balcony, the Hutník cinema, a ballet hall, and a mosaic by artist Karel Souček in the entrance hall. Renovated and reopened in 2013, it now serves as the city's main venue for balls, concerts, dance courses and exhibitions.

With over a hundred symphonic premieres to his name and a tenure as chief conductor of the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra (2015-2021), Jan Kučera ranks among the most active figures on the Czech classical scene. His own stage works - operas and ballets alike - are performed by leading Czech ensembles including the Czech Philharmonic and the National Theatre.
