Bedrich Smetana's symphonic poem cycle "My Homeland" is one of the most significant works of Czech classical music. The concert will take place in Prague at the Jatka78 concert hall.

About the venue: Jatka78

Jatka78 is a multifunctional cultural venue housed in a former slaughterhouse at the Holešovice Market (halls 7 and 8) in Prague 7. It offers ideal conditions for contemporary circus, dance, non-verbal, alternative and puppet theatre. The space serves as the home stage of Cirk La Putyka, DEKKADANCERS and Heaven's Gate, and is open to Czech and international companies for residencies, shows, workshops, conferences and exhibitions. The venue includes a Great Hall, Small Stage, Training Hall, Gallery, and Bar & Bistro.

About: Bedřich Smetana

Bedřich Smetana (1824–1884) was the foremost Czech composer of the 19th century and a founding figure of Czech national music. Born in Litomyšl, he is best known for the symphonic cycle Má vlast and the opera The Bartered Bride, both cornerstones of the Czech musical repertoire.
