The concert project Battle of the Pianos returns in an expanded format - joining Ondřej Brzobohatý and Ondřej Brouzek is a symphony orchestra conducted by Jan Kučera.

The two pianists, composers and lifelong friends maintain their signature style: playfulness, improvisation and direct interaction with the audience. Provocative questions will be posed such as "What would Beethoven's Fate sound like if he were an optimist?" or "Are notes just crutches for the untalented?"

The evening combines virtuosic performances, distinctive humour and entertaining education.

About the venue: House of Culture

Dům kultury Poldi Kladno has stood on náměstí Sítná since 1973, when it opened as the trade-union cultural house ROH SONP. Architect Václav Hilský designed the building, which originally featured a large ballroom with a balcony, the Hutník cinema, a ballet hall, and a mosaic by artist Karel Souček in the entrance hall. Renovated and reopened in 2013, it now serves as the city's main venue for balls, concerts, dance courses and exhibitions.

About: Ondřej Brzobohatý

Born on 2 February 1983 in Prague, Ondřej Gregor Brzobohatý is a multifaceted Czech artist trained at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in composition, piano and conducting. The son of actor Radoslav Brzobohatý and Slovak actress Hana Gregorová, he gained initial recognition as host of the first Czech Pop Idol season in 2004. His primary focus remains composition work - creating musicals, film scores and solo recordings - alongside regular performances with symphony orchestras and partnerships with major Czech musicians.
