Secrets of Christmas Nights and Festivals of Light

Where did Christmas come from and why do we celebrate it? This programme for children explores these questions and examines the traces of Christmas traditions in art - from the Christ Child through nativity scenes to crèches. The programme also covers other festivals of light celebrated at this time of year.

The session includes a talk about why purple and frankincense smell so wonderful. Each child will create their own purple fragrance to take home.
