Two Decis of Ink

Two Decilitres of Ink is a biographical documentary film directed by Ester Geislerová about her father - a Japanologist, translator, journalist, educator and calligrapher Petr Geisler (1949-2009).

From photographs, home videos, letters and memories, she constructs a portrait of an extraordinarily educated and original charmer who remained mysteriously elusive even to those closest to him. Geislerová captures her father's exceptional place in Czech cultural life at the end of the twentieth century while maintaining an intimate, family perspective - both joyful and painful.
