Keys on the Road

The project "Keys on the Road" brings back to the stage songs by bands that have left an indelible mark on the musical memory of their countries - German Kraftwerk, Ukrainian Okean Elzy, and Polish Republika. Czech composer Marek Doubrava has specially arranged these pieces for this project.

They are performed by a choir of fifty students from Stuttgart and Brno, who have been rehearsing the repertoire separately in their cities since spring and will meet for the first time in summer in Račí Valley on the Czech-Polish border. They will be accompanied by members of Kafka Band, Letní kapela, and Tata Bojs.

The project connects four languages and musical traditions from four countries and symbolically references Stuttgart's sister cities - Brno, Łódź, and Khmelnytsky.
