Cactus Flower

Cactus Flower is a comedy that premiered at the Palace Theatre in 2021. The original French play by Pierre Barillet and Jean-Pierre Gredy was adapted for American Broadway by I. A. L. Diamond, the screenwriter of Some Like It Hot. The famous 1969 film won an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and numerous other awards. The theatrical adaptation was created by Abe Burrows, with direction by Roman Štolpa.

Dentist Dr. Julian Winston is having an affair with naive Toni Simmons, who wants to marry him - but Julian tells her he is married with three children. When he decides to actually marry her, Toni insists on meeting his wife. Julian persuades his uptight assistant Stephanie to play the role. But then a handsome writer runs down the hallway in just a towel, gas leaks somewhere, a Spanish seducer arrives, and uptight Stephanie finds herself as the queen of the disco...
