Through the Curators' Eyes: The Rosary Celebration
Sat, 15 Aug 2026 · 11:00 — 11:45
A guided tour of the Old Masters I exhibition focusing on Albrecht Dürer's Rosary Altarpiece - a painting with complex iconography and a dramatic history spanning from Renaissance Venice to the time of Rudolf II. This is also the last opportunity to see the painting before it goes to conservators for several years. The lecture is led by Olga Kotková, director general of the National Gallery Prague.
The tour is part of the "Through the Curators' Eyes" series, in which curators share topics from their research, highlight details hidden from ordinary view, and invite open dialogue. Expert commentary is always presented in an accessible form.
