Kylešovský kopec and Its Villa Architecture

A guided walk through Kylešovský kopec will showcase one of Opava's most significant villa districts - an urbanistically compact area that began to develop from the second half of the 19th century.

The route will stop at buildings from the late 19th century, such as Janott's villa, Owl's Castle, and the Marianum monastery, as well as interwar villas by the Lassmann brothers, Bruno Vogel, and works by architects Hans Kallita, Karel Gottwald, Otto Reichner, Lubomír and Čestmír Šlapeta, and engineer Jaroslav Volence.

The tour is led by Martin Strakoš and Romana Rosová from the National Heritage Institute. The route takes approximately 90 minutes. Tickets are available through GoOut, at the Municipal House reception, or on-site. In case of very bad weather, the tour is cancelled and admission fees are refunded.
