On 8 August 2026, the Opava Country Festival will take place in Vávrovice – a full-day country and folk music festival organized by the KAFRAZYL association and the Vávrovice Fire Brigade. Refreshments will be available on site, provided by the local fire brigade.

Admission: 300 CZK in advance, 350 CZK at the gate. Holders of ZTP and ZTP/P disability certificates, including their companion, pay 150 CZK in advance or 200 CZK at the gate – the certificate must be presented at entry.

About the venue: Opava-Vávrovice

Vávrovice is a district of Opava lying roughly 5.5 km northwest of the city centre, on the right bank of the Opava river at the Polish border. The settlement has roots going back to the 14th century, when it belonged to the Knights Hospitaller. Today the area hosts outdoor cultural events, including the annual Opavský country širák country festival and rock and beer festivals at the Sokolovna grounds.

About: Fleret

Fleret is a Czech folk-rock group from Vizovice that has performed since 1983. Throughout four decades, the ensemble has issued more than nineteen studio albums, several achieving gold or platinum status and attracting listeners across multiple generations. The band's core comprises Zdeněk 'Hrach' Hrachový and Stanislav Bartošík, whose music merges Wallachian folk with rock elements. Extended partnership with vocalist Jarmila Šuláková from 1995 to 2012, followed by her daughter Zuzana from 2016 onward, established Fleret's standing as the court ensemble of the Wallachian Kingdom.

COP is a Czech bluegrass band from Plzeň, founded in 1978. The group is led by singer and guitarist Miroslav "Míša" Leicht and has won the prestigious Porta festival three times (1980, 1981, 1987). In 2002 they received the Anděl award in the Folk & Country category. They remain one of the most active and enduring acts on the Czech folk and bluegrass scene.
