Kafara Outdoor Stage: Kalle + Jakub Šimanský

Kafara opens a new outdoor stage in the garden area with views of the surrounding hills. The event capacity is limited to approximately one hundred visitors. Two performances are on the programme.

Kalle is a Czech alternative band founded by Veronika Zemanová and David Zeman, whose music draws from slowcore, trip hop and alt. pop genres with influences of electronic and rock music. They have released three studio albums – Live from the Room (2014), Saffron Hills (2017) and Under The Black Moss (2022) – and won three Anděl awards and an Apollo award for them.

Jakub Šimanský is a Brno-based guitarist who, after nearly a decade playing drums in the noise-rock band UNNA, made his solo debut with the album Face to Face Against American Primitivism in Eastern Europe Vol. 1 (Stoned to Death Records, 2016). In 2019 he followed up with the album Face to Face Against American Primitivism in Eastern Europe Vol. 2 in collaboration with Full Moon Magazine and its publishing platform Full Moon Forum. In spring 2025 he released a new album What Do You Mean By That?. He is also a member of the guitar duo Šimanský Niesner, with which he has released three long-playing records and performs both domestically and abroad.
