Arcanum Quartet + Amado-Leandre-Cleaver
The final festival day concludes with two jazz ensembles at Bio Central.
Arcanum Quartet brings together four personalities of Scandinavian jazz long associated with the ECM label aesthetic: trumpeter Arve Henriksen, saxophonist Trygve Seim, double bassist Anders Jormin, and drummer Markku Ounaskari. Their music is built on space, delicate interplay, and focused dialogue - moving between lyrical fragility, free improvisation, and carefully crafted composition.
Trio Amado-Leandre-Cleaver features Portuguese saxophonist Rodrigo Amado, French double bassist Joëlle Léandre, and American drummer Gerald Cleaver. Each brings a different tradition - European free jazz, new music, and American improvisation - and their shared music emerges in the present moment, from tension and immediate reactions.
Both concerts are part of the Jazz Goes to Town festival.
