Djembe Marathon 2026

Vrabčí hájek, Moravský Krumlov

from 630 Kč · ≈ 26 €

The Djembe Marathon festival will take place on 24–25 July 2026 in the natural park Vrabčí hájek in Moravský Krumlov. The festival is supported by the city of Moravský Krumlov and the South Moravian Region.

The programme includes workshops on djembe playing and dance for all ages, morning yoga or meditation with gong drums, a drum circle led by an experienced instructor, and this year also a workshop on handpan playing and a mobile salt cave. Saturday morning workshops are free and open to all, even without a ticket. On-site facilities include a tea house, café, ethnic market, refreshments, and instrument storage — visitors are welcome to bring their own djembes and other percussion instruments.

Performers include: NOVÍ KUMPÁNI (African rhythms, rock psychedelia and jazz), DÁLACH (Irish traditional music), TUBABU (West African polyrhythm and singing, newly performed by three Europeans), IVO BATOUŠEK – DRUM AND DANCE (percussion dance party), TOMÁŠ MLADEŇ MIKULČÍK (fujara flute and songs of Slovak mountain shepherds), ZENOVÝ ČAJ (didgeridoo, flutes, gongs and singing), SOLEIL D'AFRIQUE (African rhythms), BATALA PRAHA (Brazilian samba-reggae), CAMARA (traditional African melodies and dances), MAMA MBAYE & FALY FAYE (Afro funk with Senegalese drummer) and MORIBAYA (PL).

Every holder of a two-day advance ticket who arrives with a child under 15 will receive a raffle ticket for a children's djembe at the entrance; the draw takes place on Friday 24 July after 19:00 at the main stage. Children under 15 accompanied by a paying adult enter free; disabled visitors (ZTP) and disabled visitors with a companion (ZTP/P) also enter free.
