Beliefs (A. B. Háblová): scenic sketch + discussion + concert by Anna Beata Háblová
What beliefs do we cling to when facing unexpected crises in our own lives? What happens when a lie becomes unbearable? How does light transform us on the threshold of death?
Ester is a divorced single mother. She lives with her son on the Vysočina plateau, while commuting to the Hatě border crossing for work - into a world of casinos, brothels, and markets. She barely survives rather than lives, and her eleven-year-old son Vojta is the only reason she faces reality each day. What if he knew the whole truth?
The book will be introduced through a scenic sketch featuring actress Filipína Cimrová and musical accompaniment by Martina Trchová.
For adults. Following the performance, there will be a discussion with the author and a guest from Bílý kruh bezpečí (White Circle of Safety). The evening concludes with a concert by Anna Beata Háblová.
