More dates: 7 Dec
A chamber theatre mosaic celebrating the 125th anniversary of Jaroslav Seifert's birth - a tender and playful glimpse into the life and work of the poet.
Seifert takes you on a journey through his memories and thoughts: a boy, a man, a friend, a Nobel Prize laureate for literature, a courageous person, a gourmand, a husband, a non-swimmer, a terrible dancer and cyclist, a lover of all beauty. The production reveals not a dusty classic, but a poet with sharp eyes, bold brow, nimble tongue and a warm heart.
The performance combines drama, dance and music. It is intended for both admirers of Seifert's poetry and audiences discovering it for the first time - and deliberately appeals to students as well.
