Jazz Open Ostrava 2026 Birthday Party – The Next Movement

Jazz Open Ostrava celebrates 20 years of existence, and the anniversary season opens with a birthday concert at the Fabric club. On Thursday, June 12, from 19:00, Swiss neo-soul/funk band The Next Movement will perform, having impressed Czech audiences with an energetic show back in 2023.

The Next Movement is a trio: J. J. Flueck (drums, samples, vocals), Pascal "P" Kaeser (bass guitar, synthesizers, backing vocals), and Sam Siegenthaler (guitar, backing vocals). The band has performed at Leverkusener Jazztagen (Rockpalast WDR TV broadcast), Black Sea Jazz Festival in Georgia, Saulkrasti Jazz in Latvia, Jazztage Dresden, Enclave de Agua Festival in Spain, and Jazz Open Ostrava.

The birthday concert at Fabric is the first step of the anniversary season; the full programme will be announced in the coming weeks.
