About the venue: Letní kino Hulín

The open-air cinema in Hulín has been running since 1965 - the very first screening, the English film Kasař, took place on 17 July that year. The venue sits in the Mezivodí park and seats 450 people, with around 100 places under a roof for rainy evenings. Regular screenings run through July and August regardless of weather; a 5×15-metre stage also hosts concerts and other cultural events. The venue is operated by the Hulín Municipal Cultural Centre (MKC).

About: Tomáš Měcháček

Born in 1979 in Ústí nad Labem, Tomáš Měcháček is a Czech actor, theatre director, television presenter and stand-up comedian. He completed his training in alternative and puppet theatre at Prague's DAMU before spending ten years performing with the international theatre ensemble NIE. He gained prominence through his portrayal of projectionist Petr in the wartime drama Protektor (2009), the television series Gympl s (r)učením omezeným, and a sustained advertising partnership with Air Bank. He continues to perform stand-up comedy and teaches acting at DAMU.

About: Jaroslav Dušek

Born 30 April 1961 in Prague, Jaroslav Dušek is a Czech actor, improviser, screenwriter and pedagogue who gained international recognition through his performances in Jan Hřebejk's films Cosy Dens, Divided We Fall and Pupendo. He co-founded the Vizita Theatre with Jan Borna in 1981, and the company has devoted itself entirely to improvised performance since 1986. In addition to his work in cinema, Dušek regularly tours with the philosophical stage productions Čtyři dohody and Pátá dohoda and moderates the discussion series Duše K. at Prague's Divadlo Kampa.
