Guided Tour of Káznice Prison

The former regional prison on Cejlu is one of Brno's exceptional buildings with a history stretching back to the late 18th century. Originally standing beyond the city walls, it was gradually engulfed by the expanding city - and few today realize that as recently as the 20th century, political opponents of both Nazism and Communism were executed here.

Guided tours (60 minutes) explore the stories of prisoners and guards, daily life behind prison walls, and the broader political and social contexts reflected in this place.
