Deep Purple Tribute - Strange Kind Of Women (IT/FR) — Sono Centre, Brno

Strange Kind Of Women returns to the Czech Republic following their major success. They will perform their only concert on January 30, 2027 at Sono Centrum in Brno. The world's best all-female tribute band dedicated to Deep Purple will present themselves to Czech audiences again. This time exclusively in Brno, in the iconic Sono Centrum hall, renowned for its outstanding acoustics and counted among the finest concert venues in the country.

Deep Purple is considered by many to be one of the most innovative and successful rock bands of all time. They are also known as an almost inimitable band - with a distinctive sound, energy, and musical virtuosity that influenced entire generations of rock musicians. Seven years ago, however, this apparent inimitability was challenged. An all-female ensemble appeared on the European scene, capable of bringing Deep Purple's magic to the stage with a vibrant, dynamic, and uninhibited feminine expression.

Behind Strange Kind Of Women stands Eliana Cargnelutti, leader and guitarist from Udine near Venice. She came up with the idea of creating an all-female Deep Purple tribute band and from the start had a clear vision of the musicians who could turn her brilliant concept into reality. Thus the energetic lineup of Strange Kind Of Women was formed: Eliana Cargnelutti on guitar, vocalist Alteria from Milan known from Virgin Radio, bassist Paola Zadra, Hammond organ player Margherita Gruden living in France, and outstanding drummer Chiara Cotugno. The band's name, Strange Kind Of Women, is inspired by one of Deep Purple's most famous songs.

The group made their live debut in January 2019 and within months began receiving performance offers from around the world. Major recognition came that same year when Ian Paice, the legendary drummer of Deep Purple and the last active founding member of the band, performed with Strange Kind Of Women. After their joint performance, he was full of praise: "Playing with them is really fun. They do a great job, they have a great sound and they give it their all. I really enjoyed playing with them."
