Strange Kind Of Women is an all-female Deep Purple tribute band - the only one of its kind in the world - founded in 2018 by Italian guitarist Eliana Cargnelutti from Udine. The five-piece, drawn from Italy, France and the UK, made their live debut in January 2019 and quickly built a reputation for faithful, high-energy renditions of the Deep Purple catalogue, centred on the Made in Japan classics. As early as March 2019, Deep Purple's legendary drummer and last surviving founding member Ian Paice joined them on stage and publicly praised the band.

The band released a video Time for Bedlam from the album Infinite Deep Purple, expanding their repertoire beyond the classic Made in Japan.
An extensive European Purple Women Tour 2025/2026 was announced, featuring more than 19 stops in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
