Břeclav hosts the concert Echoes of Film Melodies on 7 October 2026 at the Kulturní dům DELTA on the Dyje riverbank. This is one of eight Czech dates for the Black Tower orchestra, presenting celebrated film scores by Hans Zimmer, Ennio Morricone, and John Williams. The brutalist building, designed by Milan Steinhauser in 1982, provides an intimate setting for this musical performance. Actors from the South Bohemian Theatre accompany the orchestra, adding dramatic dimension to the concert. The project is supported by composer Zdeněk Barták.

About the venue: Kulturní dům DELTA

KD Delta is a four-storey brutalist building from 1982 on the bank of the Dyje river, designed by Milan Steinhauser of Stavoprojekt Brno. It was originally built as the in-house cultural centre of the Gumotex factory; after 1989 it was run by the Chemical Workers' Union, and since 2004 it has been privately owned. The main theatre hall seats 417, while the estrade hall holds up to 500 standing. The programme covers concerts, theatre, balls and stand-up comedy.

About: Black Tower

This South Bohemian dance orchestra has been performing at balls, corporate events and concert stages across the Czech Republic since 2010. Its flagship project Ozvěny filmových melodií pairs a string orchestra with dance numbers and audiovisual projection for a ninety-minute journey through international and Czech film music.

About: Martin Dobíšek

Martin Dobíšek is a Czech actor and musician born in 1984 in Čeladná in the Beskydy mountains. He studied singing and piano at the conservatory in Kroměříž, then musical theatre at JAMU in Brno. Since 2016 he has been a member of the Malé divadlo company within Jihočeské divadlo in České Budějovice, also appearing regularly with its opera ensemble in productions such as Evita and Il Trovatore. He is a co-recipient of the Jihočeská Thálie 2016 award for acting and musicality in Ježíšek Superstar.
