The Christmas gala concert Stars of Christmas V. takes place on Sunday, 13 December 2026 at 18:00 at Žofín in Prague. Bára Basiková performs as part of her six-date Czech tour running from August through November. Žofín Palace, a Neo-Renaissance building from 1885 on Slavonic Island in the Vltava River, hosts the programme of classical melodies, songs and carols. The historic structure, protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic, provides an elegant setting for festive atmosphere in the heart of Prague.

About the venue: žofín

Žofín Palace is a Neo-Renaissance building from 1885 on Slovanský ostrov (Slavonic Island) in the Vltava, protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. It was named after Archduchess Sophie, mother of Emperor Franz Joseph I. The palace hosts concerts, balls, congresses and social events. Historically, Smetana's Má vlast received its first complete performance here in 1882, and Dvořák, Berlioz, Liszt, Tchaikovsky and Wagner all performed in its halls.

Born on 25 April 1973 in České Budějovice, Pavel Šporcl is a Czech violin virtuoso trained at the Prague Conservatory, HAMU, and in the United States with Itzhak Perlman and Dorothy DeLay. He stands as the sole Czech violinist of his generation included in Henry Roth's Violin Virtuosos: From Paganini to the 21st Century and was awarded the Czech Medal of Merit in 2015.
