Amplified Musical Jam at the Fort

Join us for an open musical jam session where we create music together as one. You can dance, sing, play an instrument, or simply relax and enjoy live music. Bring your favorite instrument or your voice.

WHEN: Sunday, June 28, 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM (4:30 PM space opens, programme starts at 5:00 PM)
WHERE: We'll meet in the outdoor courtyard of the historic Fort XX in Křelov, where we'll share a musical atmosphere together.

AVAILABLE TO BORROW: several African djembes, 17 shamanic drums, various percussion instruments, and microphones.

FACILITIES: The gathering takes place in an open yurt in the courtyard, with chairs and large cushions available. In case of rain, shelter will be provided. In case of severe weather, the event will move indoors to Fort XX. Light refreshments will be available on site.

PROGRAMME: We'll start by loosening up and connecting with our bodies and ourselves to create freely. Next, we'll guide you through rhythmic and vocal playful exercises to help us relax, become present, find rhythm in our bodies, and confidence in our singing. We'll practice basic techniques and rules to find balance between listening to others and expressing our own musicality, so the group playing naturally carries both rhythm and harmony. Before the jam session, there will be a short technical introduction where you'll learn the basics of microphone work and concert effects. Then we'll jam together on several musical themes and play and sing songs and mantras, interspersed with jamming and dancing. We'll flow freely into playful drum jams, singing, and other instruments. Between longer musical pieces, we'll take short breaks so our ears can rest and we can begin a new song from silence and sensitivity. At the end, we'll integrate our experiences with guided musical relaxation.

The programme and musical foundation for our collective improvisation will be created by: Deni Richterová (vocals, harmonium) and Ondra (Ora Macao - drums, guitar).
