Orpheus lost Eurydice. But what did Eurydice lose? The most famous love story of ancient myth becomes a confession about loss. When does the time come to descend into the underworld, and must it truly come? Is it possible to love a person even when they are no longer with us? A fusion of music and words that leads to reconciliation on the path between life and death. When the muse falls silent and sorrow finds its voice. About the venue: Baroque Complex Kuks

The Baroque Complex Kuks is a national cultural monument in Trutnov District, founded by Count Franz Anton von Sporck at the end of the 17th century. Its centrepiece is the hospital with the Church of the Holy Trinity, sculptures by Matthias Braun, and one of the oldest Baroque pharmacies in Europe. Managed by the National Heritage Institute, it offers exhibitions on Baroque art, history, and pharmacy. A major restoration in 2010–2015 earned the complex the Europa Nostra Grand Prix.

About: Lucie Brychtová

An actress and singer with conservatory and JAMU training behind her, who worked in Pardubice and Brno before landing guest roles at the National Theatre stages in Prague. She writes her own material, sings and acts across independent projects - from the Estates Theatre to an intimate monodrama at Divadlo Na Prádle.

Since the 2022/23 season, Lucie Brychtová has worked at the National Theatre as a prompter, while simultaneously performing as an actress at the Estates Theatre in the production of Much Ado About Nothing, where she sings over ten songs.

In an interview for Novinky.cz, Brychtová openly described her journey through transition back to the stage and noted that after years in the prompter's box, she is finally gaining acting experience as a woman.

In November 2021, the psychological monodrama Frequency of Trust, which Brychtová wrote with Martin Hýbner and in which she also acts and sings, premiered at the Na Prádle Theatre; the voices of the characters were provided by Iva Janžurová, Vilma Cibulková and others.

About: Vojtěch Franců

A member of both Geisslers Hofcomoedianten and the Prague Municipal Theatres, Franců built his career while still studying at DAMU - performing, writing and composing across Prague's stages. The Theatre Critics' Talent of the Year 2024 award confirmed him as one of the most compelling actor-authors of his generation.
