
GEISSLERS HOFCOMOEDIANTEN: Theatre of Light

Vojtěch Franců (born 21 September 2001 in Turnov) is a Czech actor, since 2019 a member of the Geisslers Hofcomoedianten ensemble and since 2025 a permanent member of the Prague Municipal Theatres. He trained in music and drama at the Brno Conservatory, then studied acting at DAMU under Milan Schejbal. His title role in Simply Simplicius earned him a Thalia Award nomination, and in March 2025 he received the Theatre Critics' Award as Talent of the Year 2024 - recognised as actor, composer and playwright.
At the ABC Theatre of the Prague Municipal Theatres, on May 30, 2026, the premiere of the production Sinful People of Prague took place, in which Franců plays Inspector Mrazek.
In March 2026, the premiere of the original musical Stepmother (directed by Petr Hašek) took place at the Minor Theatre, where Franců performed one of the leading roles.
In October 2025, he made his debut at the Rokoko Theatre in the title role of Farinelli in the production Farinelli and the King (Prague Municipal Theatres, directed by Marián Amsler).
Since September 2025, Franců has been a permanent member of the Prague Municipal Theatres ensemble, where he performs on all three stages.
In March 2025, he received the Theatre Critics' Award for 2024 in the Talent of the Year category as an actor, composer, and author.
