Hrady CZ is a summer cultural festival. Its 21st edition will take place in summer 2026 across eight historic monuments in various regions of the Czech Republic and Moravia. The programme features performances by leading Czech and Slovak musicians — among the first confirmed performers are Daniel Landa, Rybičky 48, Mirai, Trautenberk, and MIG 21.

The festival also aims to support tourism and raise the profile of historic monuments in the regions. The price of Saturday tickets includes guided tours of the permanent exhibitions.

Hluboká Castle was originally founded as a guard fortress in the mid-13th century by Czech kings. Over the centuries, it passed through the hands of several noble families — including the Pernštejns, the Lords of Hradec (who had the Gothic castle rebuilt as a Renaissance château in 1563), the Malovs of Malovic, and from 1661 the Schwarzenbergs. They modified the castle twice: first in the early 18th century in Baroque style, then between 1840–1871 in Romantic Neo-Gothic style, including redesign of the park and surrounding landscape. The model for the reconstruction was the royal Windsor Castle; work was initiated according to plans by Viennese architect Franz Beer and after his death was completed by Schwarzenberg's master builder Damasius Deworetzky. The Schwarzenbergs resided at Hluboká until the end of 1939, when the last owner, Dr. Adolf, emigrated overseas to escape the Nazis; they definitively lost the property through the special Lex Schwarzenberg law in 1947.
