A piano concert of Hans Zimmer's film music by candlelight, performed by internationally acclaimed pianist Alexander Starý. As part of a European tour, František Panáček and Lucie Kubátová also alternate in the role.

The programme features compositions from soundtracks to films such as Gladiator, Inception, Interstellar, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Lion King. The venue will be lit by hundreds of candles.

The event is accessible from age 12. Tickets are available exclusively through the SMS ticket network.

About the venue: Monastery Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary

A deconsecrated Baroque church originally belonging to a Dominican monastery founded, according to the order's chronicle, in 1293. Its current Baroque form is the result of reconstruction after the 1669 fire, completed in 1688. Owned by the town of Šumperk, the church has served as a cultural venue since April 2005, hosting concerts, exhibitions, graduation ceremonies and other events. In summer it is open to the public with guided tours; the restored crypt is also accessible.

About: Alexander Starý

Ostrava-based pianist Alexandr Starý balances his role as répétiteur at the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre with a solo career - performing with the Brno Philharmonic and touring Europe with programmes of Ludovico Einaudi's music. A Petrof ART Family member, he holds prizes from several international competitions, including best accompanist at the Elena Obraztsova Competition in Moscow.

Brno-based pianist Lucie Kubátová brings together classical training from JAMU and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with hands-on experience as a ballet répétiteur and teacher. Her candlelit piano evenings feature film music ranging from John Williams to Ludovico Einaudi.
