A divine tragicomedy: Mirror, mirror, tell me, who is the most beautiful in our land? Beauty that seduced Amor himself. Beauty that offends women and drives men to madness. An adaptation of the immortal tale of Amor and Psyche takes you into the world of gods and their extravagant games. Freely adapted from the tragicomedy-ballet Psyche from 1671 written for the court of Louis XIV. One of Molière's last plays, its first translation into Czech and first performance in the Czech Republic!

About the venue: Baroque Complex Kuks

The Baroque Complex Kuks is a national cultural monument in Trutnov District, founded by Count Franz Anton von Sporck at the end of the 17th century. Its centrepiece is the hospital with the Church of the Holy Trinity, sculptures by Matthias Braun, and one of the oldest Baroque pharmacies in Europe. Managed by the National Heritage Institute, it offers exhibitions on Baroque art, history, and pharmacy. A major restoration in 2010–2015 earned the complex the Europa Nostra Grand Prix.

A DAMU graduate and Divadlo Lampion company member who guests on stages ranging from the National Theatre to Prague's underground. He writes music for productions at Klicperovo divadlo and the National Theatre, and occasionally steps behind the decks as DJ MesserSchmidt.

As a DAMU student, Šmíd received a broad nomination for the Thalia Prize 2014 for the role of Cabaret Master in the production Cabaret at the DISK Theatre - as the very first student of a higher drama school in the history of this award.

About: Martin Bohadlo

A founding member of the baroque ensemble Geisslers Hofcomoedianten and a long-standing actor at Studio Ypsilon, Bohadlo currently plays the title role in Saturnin at Divadlo Na Jezerce. Off stage he is a multi-instrumentalist and stilt acrobat.

About: Jiřina Marešová

Jiřina Marešová is a Czech organist and harpsichordist who trained at the Prague Conservatory, HAMU, and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg. She completed a doctorate at HAMU with a thesis on the theoretical foundations of organ performance. One of the few Czech organists to specialise in improvisation, she teaches at AMU and the Faculty of Education of Charles University in Prague.
