GEISSLERS HOFCOMOEDIANTEN: Jedem s medem!

Your virtues and vices on a single wagon - "Let the wind carry you, let your bones crack in the wheel, in white robes we shall meet in eternity." Three stories of terrible, frightening and pious deeds, and one justice. From vice to virtue and back again. A street ballad, a balladic mini-musical and a folk puppet play. Wandering comedians and theatre with large wooden marionettes on a wagon. A three-part street performance based on the sculptures of Kuks (Virtues and Vices and others) by Matyas Bernard Braun.

Part 1: A new song about terrible cruelty committed by a widow from Jaromere out of poverty, how she was punished by the people and how it all ended for her. A staged street ballad. Part 2: About a maiden who resisted so many temptations that in old age she vainly longed to succumb to vice. A balladic mini-musical. Part 3: The rise and fall of King David - a very instructive story about the famous Jewish king David, power and humility. A folk puppet play.

The production "Jedem s medem!" was created as part of the project "Sculpture as Puppet - Theatre Park", whose main output is the creation of a Puppet Gallery in the theatre space Comoedien-Haus in Kuks. The exhibition is based on puppets by Jiri Nachlinger according to the cycle of sculptures of Virtues and Vices by M. B. Braun, which will be presented in the production. The project was initiated by Prof. Stanislav Bohadlo in cooperation with the THEATRUM KUKS festival. The inspiration for the project was the inscription of Czech puppetry on the UNESCO list of cultural heritage.
