GEISSLERS HOFCOMOEDIANTEN: Theatre of Light
An opera about the first master of light in Baroque theatre, performed in the courtyard of the historic Kuks Hospital. Music by Jan Jirásek, directed by Petr Hašek.
Claudia Eftimiadisová is a Czech actress and a long-standing member of Geisslers Hofcomoedianten, a Prague-based independent company that fuses baroque tradition with contemporary physical theatre. Critics single her out for an exceptional range - moving within a single production from femme fatale to grotesque clown to near-saintly figure - rooted in commedia dell'arte and clowning. Beyond performing, she co-authors scripts and concepts, most recently the grotesque-noir piece Rezavá Anna (2025).
The production of Rusty Anna or What's the Bone About! starring Eftimiadis was included in the competition program of the Skupova Plzeň 2026 festival (June 11, 2026, DJKT - New Theatre).
Theatre critics included Rusty Anna among the best alternative theatre productions of 2025 in a poll on the divadelni.net website.
The premiere of the production Rusty Anna or What's the Bone About!, whose concept Eftimiadis co-created, took place on May 17, 2025 in the Chapel of the Holy Cross in the Prague Invalidovna.
Eftimiadis played the central role of Mrs. Fax in the new production Horri-Bili-Cribri-Fax, which premiered at the Theatrum Kuks festival in August 2024 and received positive reviews from critics.
Eftimiadis, as a member of the ensemble, participated in the production Theatre of Light (premiere October 31, 2025), an opera-light project by Geisslers Hofcomoedianten.
