The Great Marty

The Great Marty follows Marty Mauser, a young dreamer from New York in 1952, obsessed with the dream of becoming a world champion in table tennis – a sport that was not particularly attractive at the time. His stubborn, sometimes naive belief in himself drives him across New York to London, Paris, and Tokyo.

Director Josh Safdie builds the film on rawness and detailed capture of the 1950s, with Timothée Chalamet leading the cast.
