A young successful office worker named Jack suffers from the most severe form of insomnia. On a business trip, he meets Tyler Durden, who offers him shelter on the condition that he throws him a proper punch. This "exchange of views" appeals to both of them, and soon the first Fight Club is born — a place where young men, disgusted with the world, can shed their worries and become animals for a few minutes.
