Helena Bonham Carter CBE (born 26 May 1966 in London) is an English actress whose career spans more than four decades. She earned Oscar nominations for The Wings of the Dove (1997) and The King's Speech (2010), won a BAFTA for the latter, and is widely recognised for playing Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter series and Princess Margaret in Netflix's The Crown. Her long creative partnership with director Tim Burton produced some of her most distinctive work.
