Cimbalom, Wine, Thunder Strikes

A selection of songs from Moravian folklore in which folk poetry touches upon the eternal theme of changing weather. Rain, wind, thunder and sunshine become metaphors for human moods, relationships, and both joys and sorrows.

The programme includes a recitation lecture by festival president Jiří Ludvík inspired by the personality of inventor Prokop Diviš, who worked in Příměticích near Znojmo. This is followed by a discussion around the cimbalom with CM Ohnica – the Cimbalom Music of Antonín Stehlík.
