32nd Asparagus and Wine Festival in Ivančice

The 32nd Asparagus and Wine Festival takes place from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 May 2026 on Palackého Square in Ivančice (Friday from 11:00, Sunday until 18:00). The festival has been held since 1994 and is one of the oldest gastronomic festivals in the Czech Republic. The event is organized by the Ivančice Cultural and Information Centre.

Ivančice asparagus plays the starring role, with selected menus from regional restaurants presenting it in various preparations — boiled, roasted, grilled, salted and sweet — combined with wines from local winemakers. The wine zone will feature more than a dozen winemakers and wine and food pairings led by sommelier Pavel Chrást. Cooking shows will be presented by Roman Paulus, Markéta Hrubešová and Jan Vorel.

Queenie, Slza, Martina Pártlová, Moravians, Vlčnovjanka and other bands will perform on stage. A children's zone with Fíha Tralala and other activities is prepared in the town hall courtyard. The festival also includes a food and craft market and fresh asparagus sales.

Tickets include a festival guide with recipes and gastronomic programme and discounts for entry to the V. Menšík exhibition, A. Mucha exhibition and Ivančice church tower.
