Petr Tomeček / Pan's Flute in Full Splendour

Petr Tomeček's concert "Pan's Flute in Full Splendour" takes place in the pilgrimage church of St. John of Nepomuk on Green Hill. The programme features well-known melodies across genres – including "Love Story", music from the film "Once Upon a Time in the West" and melodies from the film "The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe". Between pieces, Petr Tomeček speaks about Pan's flute and his journey with this instrument.

Petr Tomeček studied trumpet at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava and worked with the Prague Castle Guard Band, the National Theatre of Moravian-Silesian Region and the Silesian Theatre in Opava, among others. He devoted himself to playing Pan's flute under the guidance of Liselotte Rokyta and Ulrich Herkenhoff; he also established personal contact with Maestro Gheorghe Zamfir.
