Jewish Bubeneč: The Zátorka Area

In the early 20th century, Prague's most successful Jewish residents chose Bubeneč for their homes, building villas so grand that the neighbourhood remains Prague's most exclusive villa district to this day. Yet many of them were granted only a brief time to live in them - their lives often ended in cruel death, not only because of the Nazis.

This walk is thus an excursion into modern economic and social history, while also a reminder of where hatred and contempt for others can lead.
