Archiplay: How to Bring a Monument Back to Life?
CAMP - Centrum architektury a městského plánování, Prague
Can an old place come alive again? And how can we add new elements to it without losing its story?
The programme draws inspiration from the transformation of Prague Castle, where history meets the present. It presents the renovations carried out here a hundred years ago by architect Josip Plečnik, as well as changes after 1989, when the complex opened to the public. It also focuses on how individual buildings and the spaces between them are carefully developed today and what projects are being prepared in the complex. The programme includes a creative part in which participants try on the role of architects – they will draw, create and make proposals.
