Cacao Journey into the Body with Sanko and Lenka

Join us for an evening exploring cacao from seed to cup, and connecting with Central American traditions through the body.

What awaits you?

Cacao Journey "From Seed to Cup" - with Sanko from SanCacao, we will walk through the entire cacao preparation process: processing raw beans, roasting, peeling and grinding to the final cup. The cacao comes from beans growing semi-wild in the rainforest of a nature reserve in the Mexican state of Chiapas, organically grown, traditionally fermented and sun-dried.

Cacao Ritual - a shared time of slowing down, the aroma of cacao and conscious experience. Cacao has been used in the cultures of Central and South American indigenous peoples for thousands of years.

Mayan Abdominal Massage - Lenka will introduce you to a workshop on abdominal self-massage rooted in Mayan tradition, this time enriched with knowledge of belly massage from Eastern Slavic tradition. You will learn more about Mayan culture and its relationship to working with the body. Lenka learned the abdominal massage technique directly from healers and midwives in Guatemala and Mexico, and in the Czech Republic completed a belly massage course with an instructor from Siberia.
