Outcast

Uncompromising ideological clashes in physical verse. The production by the theatre group Tears of Janko Borodac - Outcast - draws from S. Zweig's memoir The World of Yesterday, in which Zweig portrays the image of old Europe and opens the theme of pacifism, which contemporary Europeans also confront.

Actresses Gabriela Marcinková and Anna Jakab Rakovská create in the production a diary of contemporary European women through personal stories that interweave with Zweig's historical testimony. They touch on themes such as generational succession, clinical depression, coming to terms with motherhood, corruption of the judiciary in the loss of a loved one, and reflections on emigration.
